ALIS Platform Technology Architecture
ALIS is now in its fifth generation, and benefits from over 5400 man years of software development using cutting-edge technology.
ALIS software is technology agnostic and can work with any relational database, including Oracle, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server. It can operate on Unix, Linux, AIX, IBM-MF or Windows, or any combination of these platforms.
IBM has validated ALIS as an advanced solution within the IBM Insurance Process Acceleration Framework. ALIS was approved against IBM technologies including WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, DB2 and AIX.
The insurance technology components are shown in the chart below.

ALIS - Technical Architecture
Advanced User Interface
ALIS is accessed from a standard user interface that is common to all components in the suite. This graphical client workbench provides a wide range of features such as dynamic selection criteria, dynamic sort, dynamic filtering, display options, on-demand custom graphic presentation, window splitting, data exporting and custom layouts for each list display.
Web Insurance Software
ALIS was designed to operate using its client/server interface and its Web interface (eALIS) simultaneously. ALIS' Web interface supports both Intra-net or Internet applications.

Scalable System
ALIS can scale up to support the policy and customer volumes experienced by tier-I life and pensions companies, and can be extended in both small and large increments to fit the changing business process requirements of insurance companies.
FIS continually invests in ALIS' ongoing development to ensure that it meets the ever changing needs of life insurance and pensions companies.
